History and Background
Founded in 2015, Off Limits has been at the forefront of urban cultural expression through a unique blend of art and performance. Originally a gallery space, we have hosted a vibrant array of monthly events and exhibitions that showcased the electrifying synergy of Electronic Music, DJing, Interactive Visuals, Urban Art, and Breakdance. Our events not only celebrated creativity but also served as a gathering space for artists and enthusiasts alike.
The global pandemic in 2020 posed unprecedented challenges, pausing our live events and temporarily closing our doors. However, this period also sparked a transformative shift in our approach. With a renewed focus on education and community outreach, we pivoted to sharing our expertise with a younger generation, expanding our reach into schools. This evolution allowed us to continue our mission under new circumstances, ensuring that the vibrant pulse of urban arts remained accessible even in challenging times.
Today, Off Limits remains committed to its founding principles, championing the education of young people in the dynamic fields of modern urban culture. We strive to inspire and educate the next generation of artists, ensuring they carry forward the torch of creativity and innovation in urban artistic expressions.

Breaking and DJing
Welcome to 'Breakdancing & DJing: Musicality in Motion,' an after-school program immersing students in the dynamic worlds of breakdancing and DJing. Through hands-on instruction and practice sessions, students develop fundamental skills in breakdancing moves like toprock, footwork, and power moves, alongside DJing techniques such as scratching and blending music genres. Our program fosters creativity, self-expression, and teamwork in a supportive environment, alternating between DJing and breakdancing activities to ensure engagement and understanding of both disciplines. With a focus on physical fitness, coordination, and confidence-building, students explore the cultural significance and artistic expression inherent in breakdancing and DJing.

With multiple awards in local competitions and remarkable achievements in overseas dance battles, Choku brings a wealth of expertise to our team. A graduate of Taipei National University of the Arts in New Media Art, he is currently an independent dancer, choreographer, and dance tutor. Choku's dedication to dance education extends from leading workshops in dance studios to teaching at esteemed institutions like HKU, CU, HKBU, and LU, where he inspires students to explore and express themselves through movement.
